The 1,500 sq. ft. open-air café brings Indian single-estate coffee, farm-to-cup storytelling, and contemporary design inspired by the brand’s Coorg estate to the heart of the city.
Maverick & Farmer has launched its sixth café in India at Sobha Mall on St. Mark’s Road, Bengaluru, further strengthening its presence in the city’s growing specialty coffee scene. Spanning 1,500 sq. ft., the new open-air café is designed as an immersive space that reflects the journey of Indian coffee from farm to city, blending contemporary café culture with strong material and spatial storytelling.
Designed to be open, breathable, and connected to the city, the café allows guests to enjoy coffee in a relaxed outdoor setting while remaining part of Bengaluru’s urban energy. Staying true to the brand’s philosophy of transparency and traceability, Maverick & Farmer continues to source single-estate beans directly from Indian coffee farms, roasting them in small batches to highlight the diversity and depth of Indian-origin coffee.
The design of the café draws direct inspiration from Maverick & Farmer’s Coorg coffee estate. A restored 1970s Massey Ferguson tractor forms the centrepiece of the barista station, with the coffee counter referencing farm trailers used to transport coffee cherries. Clay tiles inspired by traditional drying yards, estate-style glass windows, espresso-toned walls, and live Arabica and Robusta plants reinforce the farm connection. Details such as lighting made from repurposed coffee jute sacks and burlap installations further bring the farm-to-cup narrative to life.
The menu features Maverick & Farmer’s signature espresso-based beverages, manual brews, and cold coffees, paired with a thoughtfully curated food selection designed to complement the coffee program. Visual storytelling across the café highlights both the beverages and the craftsmanship behind them, reinforcing the brand’s coffee-first approach.
